FAQs
Who do you treat?
I provide individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I also provide family therapy sessions and meet with parents separately to provide parenting support alongside their child’s own therapy.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be a helpful choice for people who are interested in addressing current or long-standing issues or problems. Sometimes these issues are related, but not limited to, the following: depression, anxiety, work stress, family problems, history of trauma, relationship or interpersonal issues, and identity issues. Therapy can be a place for someone to speak with a professional who can offer unbiased and nonjudgmental space while also providing helpful strategies and clinical recommendations.
How long do therapy sessions typically last?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes.
How often do therapy sessions take place?
Therapy sessions are usually one time per week. Depending on a person’s presenting issues and/or any other clinical needs, sessions more than one time per week are available.
I am interested in knowing more about whether therapy is the right choice for me. What should I do next?
Please email me or give me a call! I am happy to talk further with you and will give you the information you need and answer any questions you may have to determine if therapy is right for you.
Do you currently see patients in person or via telehealth?
I see patients in-person (Fridays only) and have an office located in Santa Monica, CA. I also see patients via Telehealth (e.g., Zoom). I am licensed in the state of California and can provide Telehealth sessions to anyone living in the state of California.
What are your rates?
My rate is $250 per session. For patients who are unable to pay the full rate, I am happy to discuss the possibility of reduced rates. I accept payment via credit card.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time. I can provide a superbill of services rendered that can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider ahead of time to get additional information.
What if we speak and I do not think you and I are a right fit to work together?
That’s totally okay! I know finding the right therapist can be stressful and time-consuming. I am always happy to provide you with additional referrals that may be a better fit for you.
Do you speak any languages other than English?
Yes, I am fluent in Spanish.
What are your credentials?
I have a Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology.
